This course is for those who are either already qualified as tutors within further education, or for those looking to assess vocational qualifications.

From assessing fitness learners undergoing their practical assessments to visiting learners onsite and assessing their competence across a range of sectors and qualifications. This assessor award will get you started as an assessor in the education sector.

You will be required to assess at least two learners on their vocational course, keeping evidence throughout of your ongoing assessment activities and support. You will complete a portfolio of evidence showing your assessment practice, with direct observation of your assessing.
