How it works

Gym owners: Get a trainee Personal Trainer working in your facility for 3–4 months (6–9 hours/week) at **zero upfront cost** – no cash outlay, no payroll headaches.

Here’s the simple setup:  

✅ **Paperwork for Compliance**: You invoice us (UK Fitness Institute) for half the course fees (typically £850–£1,625, depending on the pathway). This is purely administrative – **no money actually changes hands**. It ensures compliance while the trainee works back that value through their placement hours (at national minimum wage rates).  

✅ **Trainee Covers the Rest**: The learner pays their half directly to us via student finance or other options, and handles the work-back at your gym – reducing what they “owe” hour by hour.  We structure their placement whereby everything is geared towards them conducting typical gym duties, at the same time as helping with marketing, member recruitment, retention and much more. The aim is to prep them to becoming the best possible PT that knows how to build their own business, which is also part of their placement. This helps to ensure a successful, rent paying PT for your facility at the very least. 

✅ **Your Role**: Provide basic induction, uniform (if needed), and optional mentoring to align them with your gym’s vibe. Use our free Google Drive resources (KPI sheets, training guides) to make it effortless.  Interns get additional certification as part of their placement with you, proving they not only have a qualification in PT, they are hands on experienced. 

Throughout, the trainee earns a full Diploma in Personal Training plus specialist qualifications (e.g., Level 4 in rehab or class instruction) – making them a versatile asset ready to boost your services.

No more problematic PT's

Have you ever faced challenges in finding a personal trainer who aligns well with your gym’s ethos and goals? With Fit Futures, if the trainee doesn’t meet your criteria by the end of their course, you are not obligated to hire them.

NO PAYE

Due to the structure of the Fit Futures scheme, you wouldn’t have to pay the member of staff employed through the programme. Instead, you will receive someone who will work in your gym, completing tasks and jobs that will benefit your establishment. They will undertake these tasks in order to offset the costs of their course fees.
