Welcome to the skills assessment quiz for your apprenticeship.

PLEASE NOTE – This MUST be completed with your tutor present. You cannot complete this on your own. 

You will need to score yourself, based on your own knowledge, skills and behaviours, coupled with demonstrable experience from both work and education. You will be scoring yourself against the knowledge, skills and behaviours on the apprenticeship standard to see where you currently match up against the required KSB’s. This will hellp us to determine the right amount of funding for your studies, even allowing the opportunity to bespoke your apprenticeship with additional courses depending on the amount of funding required against the apprenticeship standard.

It is important to score yourself honestly. If you don’t, you risk setting yourself up to fail on the apprenticeship programme and cuasing issues for you, your employer and your training provider later on in your studies.

PLEASE ALSO RETAKE THIS SKILLS ASSESSMENT TWO MORE TIMES ACROSS YOUR APPRENTICESHIP – HALFWAY THROUGH AND FINALLY AT THE END TO SEE YOUR IMPROVEMENT AND PROGRESSION.

Please review each question carefully and score yourself points the following way:

• 1 point for your full understanding and demonstrable personal experience of the KSB. Followed by:

One of the additional points options below:

• 1 additional point for demonstrable experience of the KSB at a lower level (such as learning from a line manager whilst working under them – a role model), OR
• 2 additional points for limited experience in a related role demonstrating the KSB, OR
• 3 additional points for a good level of experience in a related role demonstrating the KSB, or finally…
• 4-5 additional points for an expert level of experience in a related or very similar management level role.
